Just before Christmas, the Goodwill had some very cute little 1970's style nutcrackers and smokers and a little creche. For $3 each or less. You have to love the Goodwill. The big spinning decoration was my mother's. I hope she gave it to me and I just didn't "inadvertently" take it with me when I moved out, as is wont to happen sometimes.
Sam made the Christmas Tree hat for the Thai goddess.
For some reason, I just really love white Christmas trees with blue, green and silver decorations. And peacocks. My mother used to put birds on the Christmas tree. It seemed very avant garde at the time. She's the best at decorating for Christmas! She really got into it when we were kids. I remember how much fun she had and how much work she put into it. I only have a little Christmas tree because I don't have a very big house. Setting a tree up is a lot of work! My tree is even pre-lit! The height of laziness. I have a new found respect for all my moves elaborate preparations for Christmas!
